Clark and Sero named Durham College Athletes of the Week
OSHAWA, Ont. – AJ Clark and Brittney Sero have been named the Durham College athletes of the week presented by Boston Pizza - North Oshawa.
Clark, a first year sport management major, pitched a no-hitter on Sunday against Finger Lakes Community College of the NJCAA. The Fonthill, Ont. native did not allow a single hit over seven innings while striking out six batters in the Lords four-run victory over the Lakers.
Clark and the Lords will be return to Kinsmen Memorial Stadium three times this week as they square off against Humber (Tuesday), Laurier (Thursday) and Seneca (Saturday).
Sero, a senior in the fitness and health promotion program, helped lead the women’s soccer team to a pair of victories this past week. In the Lords 4-1 victory over the Centennial Colts, the Newcastle native scored two goals. She also played a big role in Durham’s 2-0 win over Loyalist, commanding the flow of play in the midfield.
