Clarke drops 30 points in a Durham loss to St. Lawrence

OCAA Men's Basketball: St. Lawrence defeated Durham 93-66


KINGSTON, Ont. – The Durham College men's basketball team lost their second straight game to start the season as they fell 93-66 to the St. Lawrence Vikings.

St. Lawrence dominated the second half as they outscored Durham 52-37 to pull off the 27-point victory in their home opener.

Ajahmo Clarke (Ajax, Ont.) was the lone bright spot for Durham as he drained 30 points in the loss.

St. Lawrence was led by Donald Gibson who had 20 points in the win. Gibson is averaging 16 points per game in the Vikings three games this season.

This was the Vikes first win of the year as they went 0-2 against Canadore and Georgian during their opening weekend. Durham falls to 0-2 to start the season.

The Lords will look to pick up their first win when they host the Algonquin Thunder (1-0) on Friday night at the CRWC. Game time is 8 p.m.
