Durham defeats Canadore 98-85, improve to 2-0 OSHAWA, Ont. – The Durham College men's basketball team knows they aren't perfect, but things have gone their way so far this season.
After winning the David Stewart Tip-Off Tournament last weekend with a 63-61 victory over the Fanshawe Falcons, they defeated the Manchester Spartans (NCAA) 80-72 in exhibition play on Sunday.
This week they kept the wins coming with a 69-62 come-from-behind victory over Loyalist in their home opener on Tuesday, Oct. 21. Saturday, at home against the Canadore Panthers, Durham picked up their second win of the regular season. They just missed triple digits, defeating the Panthers 98-85.
Ajahmo Clarke led the Lords with 39 points, adding nine rebounds.
Darian Rowe and
Taurell Coutou scored 18 and 10 points respectively.
Dylan Pelissero led the team with 12 boards.
Isse Ibrahim, who had 19 points, led Canadore's offence. He added six boards, but Garret Hatherley led the team with seven rebounds.
Durham's next game is Friday, Oct. 31 against St. Lawrence. Tip-off is 8 p.m. at the CRWC.
