Durham defeats St. Lawrence 80-59, win third straight OSHAWA, Ont. – Different team, same result. The Durham College men's basketball team continue to win basketball games, their latest coming on Friday night, 80-59 over the St. Lawrence Vikings.
The Lords opened the game on a 5-0 run, but after the Vikings dropped some threes they found themselves trailing. After the first quarter they were down 17-12.
Their offense turned around in a big way in the second quarter. Durham outscored St. Lawrence 20-5 in the quarter to take a 32-22 lead into halftime.
In the second half the Lords outscored the Vikings 27-21 and 21-16 in the final two quarters en route to their third regular season win of the season.
Ajahmo Clarke led the team with 26 points.
Darian Rowe added 19 points of his own, while
Aaron Hayles and
Dylan Pelissero recorded 12 apiece. Hayles, Pelissero and
Kur Ngong all led the team in rebounds with 10 apiece.
Andrew Dawkins' 19 points led St. Lawrence offensively. Desmond Adams and Jazdeep Bains each had five boards to lead their team.
