OCAA Men's BasketballDurham College defeats Fleming 110-67 OSHAWA, Ont. – After suffering their first loss of the regular season and slipping five spots in the CCAA rankings, the Durham College men's basketball team showed they aren't messing around.
Up against the 11
th place team in the OCAA East Division, the Fleming Knights, Durham College struggled out of the gate with Fleming leading the No. 11 ranked Lords 22-19 after the first quarter.
Heading into halftime the Lords took the lead by just a point, 41-40.
After the break Durham College poured it on, scoring 41 points in the third quarter, the equivalent to the first two quarters of the game, to lead 82-48. They capped off the game with a 28-9 fourth quarter to win 110-67.
Ajahmo Clarke (Ajax, Ont.) led Durham College with 37 points and seven boards.
Darian Rowe (Maple, Ont.) and
Dylan Pelissero (Oshawa, Ont.) each had a double-double. Rowe scored 16 points with 10 rebounds, while Pelissero had 15 points and 10 boards.
Daniel Gordan was the leading scorer for the Knights, picking up 18 points. Bailey Burton and Taylor Robinson each added 15.
