OCAA Men's Basketball Championship
Bronze Medal Semi-Finals: Durham defeated Mohawk 96-90
*Bronze Medal Game: Durham vs. Humber (5 p.m.) – Hosted by Sheridan College (Brampton, Ont.)

BRAMPTON, Ont. – Ajahmo Clarke (Ajax, Ont.) drained 48 points as he led the Durham College men's basketball team to a 96-90 victory over the No. 7 ranked Mohawk Mountaineers in the bronze medal semi-finals of the OCAA men's basketball championship.

Durham will now take on the No. 6 ranked Humber Hawks in the bronze medal game with tip-off scheduled for Saturday at 5 p.m.

Clarke was unstoppable in the Lords six-point victory as he was 21-for-34 from the field while pulling down 12 rebounds and seven steals. Late in the third quarter, Clarke put down a rim rocking slam dunk which was an exclamation point on a Lords' run that gave them a 22-point advantage.

To Mohawk's credit, they never gave up despite being down by such a large margin as they went on a run of their own to begin the fourth quarter and cut the Durham lead to just five with over five minutes remaining.

With Mohawk shooting the lights out in the final quarter, they would continue to chip away at the Lords' lead and pull within two points with a just over a minute to go in the game. However, Durham was able to hold off the Mountaineers rally and advance to the bronze medal game.

Aron Naim (15), Saliym Cadogan (13) and Eric Smith (12) also hit double figures for Durham.

This will be the Lords first appearance in a medal game at the OCAA men's basketball championship since the 1998 season. That year, the Lords fell 75-60 to Algonquin in the bronze medal game.
