OSHAWA, Ont. – The Durham College men's basketball team finished their weekend with a 2-1 record at their home tournament.
Durham opened with a 78-65 win over the Lambton Lions on Friday night.
Brandon Halliburton (Brampton, Ont.) led the team with 19 points, but
Craig Hanson (Ajax, Ont.) finished with 13 points and 12 rebounds for the only double-double of the night.
In day two of the tournament they fell 67-65 to the Centennial Colts to open play before winning 78-68 over the St. Lawrence Vikings to cap off the day.
Julian Hinckson Jr. (Ajax, Ont.) had 21 points and 13 rebounds in the loss – the only double-double between the Colts and Lords, while Halliburton finished with 17.
Hinckson Jr. again led Durham College to end the day, dropping 17 points.
Rookie guard Daavd Marquez-Relih (Mississauga, Ont.) wasn't far off the veteran forward's scoring, putting up 15 of his own.
The Lords now head to Kingston on Friday night to open their conference play against the same St. Lawrence Vikings. Tip off is scheduled for 8 p.m.
