WELLAND, Ont. – A late comeback attempt came up short for the Durham College men's basketball team as they lost 86-78 to the Niagara Knights in their first preseason game on Thursday night.
Craig Hanson (Ajax, Ont.) led the Lords with 17 points in his first game with Durham College.
Veteran guard
Brandon Halliburton (Brampton, Ont.) finished with 13 points, while
Shamar Lewis (Toronto, Ont.) scored 12.
Durham College's first half scoring was led by
Daavyd Marquez-Relih (Mississauga, Ont.) and
Khaled Djabo (Guelph, Ont.) with eight each.
The Lords next action is at home for the David Stewart Tip-Off Tournament next weekend from October 12-13.
