BELLEVILLE, Ont. - With just one player returning from the 2018-19 roster, the Durham College men's basketball team opened the preseason with a fresh look, earning a big 111-93 win over the Canadore Panthers.

Attending the Loyalist Fall Classic in Belleville, returning veteran Fioti Mabanza (Whitby, Ont.) led the way with 27 points. Mabanza last played with the Lords during the 2016-17 season.

Another student-athlete returning to the Lords lineup Romareo Stephenson (Markham, Ont.), who last played in the green and gold in 2017-18, tallied 24 points in the teams 2019 debut. Stephenson rounded out his performance with 14 rebounds for the double-double.

DC will conclude the Fall Classic preseason series with a matchup versus the John Abbott Islanders. Tip-off is scheduled for 12 p.m.
