BELLEVILLE, Ont. - Finishing off their weekend in Belleville, the Durham Lords men's basketball team fell 69-54 to the John Abbott Islanders in preseason action on Sunday afternoon.
For the second straight dayÂ
Romareo Stephenson (Markham, Ont.) impressed both in the scoring and rebound column. Stephenson led the Lords with 17 points in the exhibiiton game, while adding nine rebounds.
First-year DC forward
Gabriel Andre (Ottawa, Ont.) matched with a team-high 17 as well, pulling down eight boards.
Next on the docket for the Lords is the annual David Stewart Tip-off Tournament, which Durham College hosts every fall. With six teams in attendance this years tournament will serve as an exhibition series, featuring six OCAA teams. Durham will matchup with Conestoga, Lambton, and George Brown during the two-day event from Oct. 4-5.
