BARRIE, ON - Beginning a weekend road trip against the Georgian Grizzlies, the Durham College men's volleyball team lost their first match of the season in four sets.
Durham took the first set, a long one, by a 26-24 score before dropping the next three 16-25; 24-26 and 19-25.
The Lords had two players leading the way with double-digit kills, with Tyler Jegen (Calgary, AB) smashing 13 and William Egan (Cobden, ON) recording 11.
Jack Egan (Cobden, ON) hit nine kills on 32 total attempts with 11 digs and three blocked shots in his collegiate volleyball debut.
Josh Padmore (Hamilton, ON) was also a standout, registering seven kills and two blocked shots.
The Lords move on to North Bay on Saturday for a meeting with the Canadore Panthers.
