ETOBICOKE, ON - Picking up three wins on Saturday, the Durham College women's rugby team improve to 10-0 on the season.
Kicking off the day against the Seneca Sting, the Lords gathered themselves an early 22-0 lead in the first half. In the second half, the Lords conceded their first points of the season after seven consecutive shutouts to begin the year.Â
Ultimately, the Lords would win it 36-7 with five different try scorers. Maya Austin (Ajax, ON) led the way with a pair, while Emily Cooper (Guelph, ON), Shay Morris (Ajax, ON), Sierra Persaud (Ajax, ON) and Camryn Wood (Uxbridge, ON) each scored one. Morris successfully converted on two kicks.
Durham went back to their shutout ways in the second game, defeating the Conestoga Condors 32-0. Austin grabbed another two tries to bring while Cooper matched her with two more. Morris and Emma Nagy (Brooklin, ON) both added one and Morris had a successfully converted kick.
Finishing the day against the hosts, the Lords cruised to a 24-0 win over the Humber Hawks to reach double-digit wins on the season once again.
Through 10 matches, the Lords are have a 10-0 record with 375 points scored and only seven conceded.
The Lords wrap up their regular season in Peterborough on October 14 & 15 with matches against the Fleming Phoenix, Loyalist Lancers, Algonquin Wolves and St. Lawrence Surge.
