SCARBOROUGH, ON - The Durham College men's volleyball team avoided the sweep with a third set victory but ultimately fell to the Centennial Colts in four sets on Sunday.
Centennial started strong with a 25-16 first set win, before doubling their lead with a closer but just as effective 25-22 win in the second set.
Durham bounced back in the third, winning 25-18 to force the match into a fourth set, which the Colts would win 25-21 to finish off the visitors.
Tyler Jegen (Calgary, AB) and William Egan (Cobden, ON) were both in double-digit point territory with 11.0 and 10.0 points, respectively.
Jegen finished the day with eight kills, two blocked shots and a service ace, along with three digs and an assist. Egan finished with nine kills and a service ace, with a team-leading seven digs.
Durham will travel to the nation's capital this coming weekend, beginning with an 8:00 PM match against the Algonquin Wolves on Friday.
