OSHAWA, Ont. - The Durham Lords are thrilled to welcome their newest recruit, Canyon Myers, to the varsity curling team.
Standing at a 6'1", Myers brings a wealth of talent and determination to the ice.
The Port Perry native, a graduate of Port Perry High School, boasts an impressive track record. He secured a Lake Ontario Secondary School Athletics (LOSSA) silver medal in 2023 with his team, followed by earning MVP honours in the same year.
His dedication paid off with a LOSSA gold medal in 2024 and an Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) silver in the same season.
Myers is eager to represent his home curling club, the Port Perry Curling Club at the collegiate level. His passion for curling ignited at the age of six, and now as he steps onto the collegiate stage, he's ready to make waves for the Durham Lords.
Myers will begin studying in September in the Sport Administration program.
