OSHAWA, Ont. - Amber Edgerton has been selected to represent Canada in May with the U20 Women's Rugby Team in Dublin.
The national side will travel to Dublin where the 28 players will play against Ireland at the IRFU High Performance Centre on May 10th and 17th.
Amber is the only representative from an OCAA women's rugby institution, and one of two Oshawa Vikings talents along with Sydney Pipe (Queen's University).
Edgerton made her mark on the OCAA this past fall, helping the Lords to their third consecutive gold medal finish. She was recognized individually as the OCAA women's rugby sevens rookie of the year, while also being named to the league all-rookie team and championship all-star team.
With 25 tries across 14 regular season matches for 125 points, Edgerton led the team in tries and had the second highest point total on the Lords, finishing third across the league.
Edgerton is no stranger to Rugby Canada, having spent time at the U18 development camps last August in Kingston.
