OSHAWA, Ont, - The Durham College women's rugby team has signed Ariana Whiteduck to its roster.
From Ajax, Ontario, Whiteduck is a 5-foot-6 winger and fullback who will be a key addition to the Lords lineup.
Head coach Chris McKee is thrilled to have Whiteduck join the squad.Â
"We're excited to have Ariana join our program; she brings a lot to the table, both on and off the field. Her experience and passion for the sport will undoubtedly have a positive impact on our team," said McKee.Â
Whiteduck will be pursuing the Firefighter - Pre-Service Education and Training program at Durham College, which caught her attention with its hands-on learning opportunities and strong reputation.Â
She is eager to combine her academic pursuits with her passion for rugby.Â
"I chose Durham College because it felt like the right fit for me both academically and athletically," said Whiteduck. "The Pre-Service Firefighter program gives me the chance to gain real experience in a field I'm passionate about. I've always wanted a career that challenges me, keeps me active, and gives me the chance to help others."
Whiteduck is excited to join a top OCAA team and continue playing the sport she loves while being part of a strong, supportive team.Â
With her talent, passion, and dedication, Whiteduck is poised to make a significant impact on the Durham College women's rugby team, and the Lords are thrilled to have her as part of their roster.
