OSHAWA, Ont. - The Durham Lords advance to the bronze semifinal round on Friday after defeating the Mount Allison Mounties in straight sets at the 2025 CCAA Women's Volleyball National Championship.
Durham defeated the Mounties by scores of 25-21, 25-19 and 25-20. Durham benefited from eight service aces while the Mounties struggled from the service line with eight service errors.
Elizabeth McFarland led the team in points with 13.0 after tallying nine kills, three service aces and a service block.
Chelsea Oke tied McFarland for the team-lead in kills with nine, also adding nine digs to her totals for the day.
Jessie Buck stepped up in a big way with six kills, two service aces and one block. Brooke Young led the way in assists with 27, also serving a pair of aces in the match.
Jayde Smyth was all over the court this afternoon, leading the team in digs with 11.
With the win, the Lords advance to the bronze semifinal against either the Humber Hawks or VIU Mariners on Friday at 6:00 PM.
