Wood, a second-year electrical engineering student, had a season-high 14 points the men's volleyball team's sweep of Fleming at home on Thursday. Over two sets he picked up nine kills, two aces and three blocks. He finished the match with a .438 hitting percentage.

This week the men's volleyball team is home against the George Brown Huskies. The first serve on Thursday for the women's match is 6, with the men's at 8 p.m.

The Durham College athlete of the week awards are presented by Subway located at 2069 Simcoe Street North in Oshawa.
