Clarke and LaFontaine named Durham College student-athletes of the week

Ajahmo Clarke and Kauri LaFontaine have been named the Durham College student-athletes of the week presented by Boston Pizza North Oshawa for the period ending Nov. 10.

Clarke, a recreation and leisure studies major, had an amazing performance in Durham’s 94-87 victory over the Canadore Panthers as he scored 41 points and added 15 rebounds and eight steals. Clarke is averaging 26.8 points and 10.8 rebounds per game which ranks second and third respectively in the OCAA.

LaFontaine, a project management major, finished one rebound shy of a double-double in a 76-62 road victory over the Loyalist Lancers. The Whitby native was 8-for-13 from the field as she scored 23 points and hauled in nine boards. LaFontaine is averaging 14.8 points and nine rebounds per game this season.
