OSHAWA, Ont. – Brodie Harkness (Bowmanville, Ont.) of the baseball team and Sabrina Stalteri (Vaughan, Ont.) of the softball team have been named the Durham College student-athletes of the week for the period ending October 1.
 
Harkness, a paramedic student, threw a no-hitter on Sunday in the Lords' 3-0 victory over the Fanshawe Falcons. He went seven innings in the complete game victory, striking out eight Falcons, while walking no batters and giving up no hits or runs.
 
Baseball is also home this week with doubleheaders against the Seneca Sting and George Brown Huskies. First pitch on Wednesday is 6 p.m., while Saturday against the Huskies is 1 p.m.
 
The Durham College athlete of the week award is presented by Subway located at 2069 Simcoe Street North in Oshawa.
