Durham College Athletics

OSHAWA, Ont. – Lucas Pichl (Cobourg, Ont.) of the men's volleyball team and Dondre Huggins (Scarborough, Ont.) of the men's basketball team have been named Durham College student-athletes of the week for the period ending December 3.
 
Huggins, a second-year carpentry student, played a large part in the Lords near upset of the Seneca Sting. He was 7-for-12 from beyond the arc, shot .500 from the field, was 2-for-2 from the free-throw line and finished with 29 points.
 
Men’s basketball concluded the opening half of their 2017-18 season going 7-3, which has them tied with Centennial for third in the east region. Their first game back in 2018 is Tuesday, Jan. 12 in North York against the Seneca Sting.

The Durham College athlete of the week award is presented by Subway located at 2069 Simcoe Street North in Oshawa.
