Halligan, a graphic design student, has made an immediate impact since joining the Lords this semester. Last week against the first-place Georgian Grizzlies he tied the team-high point total of 13, helping the Lords win the opening set against the top-ranked squad. In Durham's first win of 2019, on Saturday against the Centennial Colts, he had a 15-point match, but most impressive was his five blocks at the net.  
  
This week the volleyball teams hit the road as they face the George Brown Huskies on Wednesday night for Bell Let's Talk Night in Toronto. 

The Durham College athlete of the week award is presented by Subway located at 2069 Simcoe Street North in Oshawa.
