Ashley Black (Waterloo, Ont.) and Brandon Halliburton (Brampton, Ont.) were named the 2018-19 athletes of the year.

Black delivered on another exceptional year in the pitching circle with the Lords softball program. The fifth-year veteran finished the regular season with a 10-1 record, striking our 60 batters, while posting a 1.87 ERA. She also added 13 hits, 12 RBI and six runs at the plate, posting a .310 batting average. Black was named the OCAA pitcher of the year, an OCAA all-star and the OCAA championship MVP. She was also named a CCSA national all-star en route to national silver for the Lords this season. Black set new program pitching records for career wins (34) and strikeouts (194), while also setting a new mark in the batter's box for career hits (83) and tying for RBI (46).
