Durham continues winning ways in victory over Canadore
OCAA Men's Volleyball: Durham defeated Canadore 3-0
OSHAWA, Ont. - The Durham College men's volleyball team defeated Canadore College 3-1 Saturday afternoon. Set scores were 25-23, 25-13, 24-26 and 25-19.
Powerhouse hitter
Jeremy Hoekstra (Cobourg, Ont.) again led the Lords in scoring converting more than half his attacks for 12 total kills and three blocked shots.
Excellent performances were also seen by Alex Van Staalduinen (Peterborough, Ont.), Brad vanHartingsveldt (Newcastle, Ont.) and
Luke Kilbourn (Ingersoll, Ont.) as all three collected double-digit digs and nine or more kills.
With the victory the Lords extend their current winning streak to five games and improved to 6-1 on the season. Durham stands in a logjam atop the standings of the OCAA east region tied with George Brown, Algonquin and Loyalist for first place.
First place will be on the line as Durham heads to Georgian College on Friday, November 29 as they look to continue their winning ways.
