Dave Ashfield's OCAA coaching debut as they picked up a 1-0 road victory over the St. Lawrence Vikings on Saturday afternoon.
First year goalkeeper
Kevin Collins (Cedar Valley, Ont.) earned a shutout in his first conference game of the season, which included periods of heavy rain throughout the game.
Durham's
Bartosz Kalisz (Oshawa, Ont.) scored the lone goal of the contest in the 40
th minute, as he capitalized on a free kick opportunity.
The Lords defence did a good job of containing St. Lawrence's offensive threats the entire night as they intercepted and cleared the majority of the Vikes' crossing attempts.
Durham will now look ahead to the sixth annual campus cup, which will take place on Monday night against the UOIT Ridgebacks. Kick-off is at 6:30 p.m. following the women's game.
