OCAA Men's Volleyball: Durham defeated Canadore 3-1 NORTH BAY, Ont. - Behind a solid defensive performance, the No. 7 ranked Durham College men's volleyball team held off the Canadore Panthers and was victorious in four sets on Saturday afternoon in North Bay.
Nick Coleman (Brooklin, Ont.) was a force to be reckoned with at the net with a season-high six blocks, while
Erik Janssen (Hampton, Ont.) paced the offence with 13 kills.
With the four set victory, the Lords extend their undefeated streak to 13-games and are one step closer to securing first place in the OCAA east region and an automatic berth in the provincial championship.
Durham is well in front of a heated race for second place, where four teams are tied with seven wins apiece.
The Lords kept Canadore attackers at bay as the pair of Luke's (Fafard and Kilbourn) combined for 18 digs.

Jeremy Hoekstra hit a milestone in the match, as he recorded eight points giving him 503 in his career. The Cobourg native is currently seventh all-time on the scoring charts, trailing former teammate
Brad VanHartingsveldt who had 516. Hoekstra also had a defensive gem with three big blocks and eight digs against Canadore.
Next up for the Lords will be a trip to North York where they will take on the Seneca Sting. The Sting are currently tied for second place with Fleming, Canadore and Trent. In their first meeting of the season, Durham swept Seneca 3-0 at home.
