OTTAWA, Ont. – With just four matches remaining in the regular season the Durham College men's volleyball team are doing all the right things.
The Lords continued to build towards a bye to the OCAA championship on Saturday with their 3-0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-17) sweep of the La Cité Coyotes in Ottawa. Their victory puts them first in the division, two points ahead of the championship host Seneca Sting and four points ahead of the Trent Excalibur.
Harrison Wood (Nebraska, U.S.) led the Lords with a game-high 10 kills and 14 points, which included two service aces and two blocks.
Erik Janssen (Hampton, Ont.) and
Andrew Watson (Uxbridge, Ont.) added nine kills for Durham.
Nick Coleman (Brooklin, Ont.) led the Lords with three blocks, while
Rory Langley (Uxbridge, Ont.) had 32 assists in the match.
Nicolas Choquette's eight kills and a service ace led La Cité's offence.
Durham will have the chance to face the second place Sting in their final home game of the regular season on Feb. 11, but their next match is Tuesday when they return home to host the Fleming Knights at the CRWC.
