WELLAND, Ont. – The Durham College women's basketball team is on a roll, mostly due to a variety of players leading the team's offence each game.
On Thursday night, against the Niagara Knights, it was Ajax's
Maddie Dender that led the Lords with 24 points in a 70-45 victory.
Keisha Arthurworry (Oshawa, Ont.) finished with 14.
"Everyone contributed and we had another positive result tonight," said head coach Heather Lafontaine. "We're excited with the start, but will continue to work hard this weekend in Quebec against some great opponents at the Cougar Classic as we build towards our regular season."
The Lords will face Édouard-Montpetit Lynx, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu and Champlain Cougars at the Cougar Fall Classic this weekend.
