WELLAND, Ont. – Simply put, it wasn't their weekend.
The Durham Lords men's volleyball team were unable to earn a win over the weekend as they fell in both matches on Saturday at Niagara.
Redeemer defeated the Lords 3-0 (16-25, 23-25, 15-25) to open the day. Their final match was a 3-2 loss to the St. Clair Saints in their consolation game.
After opening up with a 22-25 first set loss. They then won 25-23 and 25-21. They nearly won their first match of the weekend, but fell 24-26 in the fourth before losing 12-15 in the fifth set.
Next up for the Lords is conference play on Friday in Belleville against the Loyalist Lancers. First serve is scheduled for 8 p.m.
