OSHAWA, Ont. - Welcoming 12 teams to the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre for the annual Adidas Cup preseason tournament, the Durham College men's volleyball team picked up two wins and one loss in Day 1 of competition on Friday.

The Lords opened the day with a exciting five set win over the Conestoga Condors. Set scores were 25-19, 29-31, 25-17, 23-25, 15-10. Durham saw exceptional play from setter Liam Gray (Barrie, Ont.), along with some power hitting from Andrew Dube (Uxbridge, Ont.).

In the second match of the tournament, the Lords fell in straight sets to the CMU Blazers. Set scores were 18-25, 22-25, 27-29.

DC then went on to challenge the George Brown Huskies to end the night. Set scores were 25-21, 25-20, 25-16.
