PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - The Durham College men's soccer team earned a lopsided 4-0 victory over the Trent Excalibur on Tuesday night as they continued preseason play.
Durham had four different goal scorers on the night, showcasing their offensive depth.
LeRohne Young (Pickering, Ont.),
Colin Reilly (Whitby, Ont.),
Eric Savvas (Pickering, Ont.) and
Isiah Passley (Pickering, Ont.) each had individual tallies for DC, while
Dylan Toland (Ajax, Ont.) and
Kristien Bissonette (Pickering, Ont.) shared the clean sheet.
"At this point in camp we are happy with the way the team is shaping up," said head coach
Dave Ashfield. "The new players are settling in well and the standard in training has risen to the point it is showing in games now."
For the first time in program history the Lords will now face the UTM Eagles. Their exhibition match on Thursday is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at Vaso's Field. Following that they wrap up preseason play in the Campus Cup on Tuesday, Sept. 3 in their annual friendly against the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks.
