WELLAND, Ont. - After a tough opening day in Welland for the Niagara Invitational, the Durham College men's volleyball team rebounded by splitting two matches with fellow national contender Sherbrooke.
The No. 5 nationally ranked Lords first earned an exciting five set victory over the No. 7 Volontaires to open their Sunday doubleheader. Set scores for the 3-2 win were 25-22, 29-27, 18-25, 16-25, 15-12. The two teams then matched up once again later in the afternoon where Sherbrooke captured the final match of the tournament in straight sets. Set scores for the second contest were 22-25, 20-25, 15-25.
Rounding back into shape following the winter break, the Lords will look to continue their undefeated OCAA regular season this upcoming Friday Jan. 10 when they face the Seneca Sting on the road. First serve for the match is scheduled for 8 p.m. with all the action set to be streamed on
