OSHAWA, Ont. – The Durham Lords are pleased to welcome Jessica Anatol to the women's volleyball program ahead of the 2020-21 season.
 
The Ajax native joins the Lords via the Durham Rebels Volleyball Club where she has spent the past two seasons.
 
Anatol and her 18U DRVC team ranked 18^th in Ontario before club season was halted this spring, raising their standing from 22^nd the year prior. The 5'7 athlete also competed with Evolution VC from 2014 to 2017, claiming Div. 3 Tier 1 bronze at the 17U Provincial Championship, while also serving as team captain during her 2016-17 season.
 
A graduate of Notre Dame C.S.S., Anatol brings with her a versatility that will benefit a Lords team stacked with weapons.
 
"I started out as a left side for my first five years playing club volleyball, and only started playing right side last year to fill in when our team was struggling with some injuries," noted Anatol. "Then this year I also learned to play middle filling in once again where my team needed me so I have been able to adapt and grow as a player and I am very grateful to have gotten the chance to really learn the different positions."
 
Anatol will enter the Honours Bachelor of Behavioural Science program at Durham College this fall.
