HAMILTON, ON - Traveling to Hamilton for more preseason action, the Durham College men's and women's volleyball teams both fell in exhibition contests on Saturday.
For both teams, play some them take part in four set matches regardless of outcome. The DC women fell in all four sets played with set scores of 22-25, 17-25, 18-25, 21-25. The men also suffered a similar fate, being swept in the four sets played with set scores of 20-25, 18-25, 20-25, 17-25.
"This second exhibition match was another great opportunity for our young Lords squads to play a more older and experienced team," mentioned DC men's volleyball head coach
Mike Hubicki. "For us, we tried four different rotational lineups, including six different liberos, and even with all that shuffling around our team did not disappoint because they kept every set close with spirited play, defensive coverage, and creative offense."
Durham's men's and women's volleyball team next travel for a number of preseason games beginning on Friday, Nov. 5 in London versus the Fanshawe Falcons. First serve for the women is scheduled for 5 p.m., followed by the men at 7 p.m.
