WINDSOR, ON - Hitting the road for a series of exhibition contests, the Durham Lords men's volleyball team went 1-3 during a four match stretch this past weekend.
The Lords began their road trip in London, falling 3-1 in a four set match versus the Fanshawe Falcons. Set scores for the opening bout were 16-25, 18-25, 17-25, 25-20.
Continuing onto Windsor to compete in an invitational hosted by St. Clair College, DC were unable to find their form on the first day of matches as they lost to Niagara and Canadore on Saturday. The Lords were swept in three straight sets in both contests with set scores versus the Knights being 19-25, 28-30, 20-25 and against the Panthers 18-25, 19-25, 17-25.
DC was able to finish strong though, rebounding on Sunday morning with a 3-1 victory over the host St. Clair Saints. Set scores in the fourth and final exhibition match of the weekend for the Lords were 25-23, 22-25, 25-22, 26-24.
The Lords will now return to the CRWC where they will continue their fall preseason schedule this Thursday, Nov. 11. Welcoming the Redeemer Royals to Oshawa, first serve is set for 8 p.m. with the game also set to be streamed on
OCAA LIVE.
