OTTAWA, ON – The Durham Lords men's soccer team battled their way to a clean sheet in the nation's capital.
Extending their unbeaten streak to three matches, the Lords ultimately drew the Wolves 0-0 as the final whistle blew in the 90th minute.
"I feel good about how we played today," said Head Coach Dave Ashfield. "We have a solid system in place that our players have bought in to and I felt we defended well as a team."
Garrett Werner (Ajax, ON) faced six shots in the match, saving all six to earn his third clean sheet of the campaign.
Durham's back line also contributed heavily to that clean sheet, forcing the ball away from the net by any means necessary leading to eight corner kicks for the Wolves. The Lords finished the match with two shots on goal.
The Lords have one match left in the 2022 regular season as they are scheduled to make the trip to North York for their first meeting of the season with the undefeated Seneca Sting.
