OSHAWA, ON – The Durham Lords men's volleyball team saw their three match winning streak come to an end on Friday night after being swept by the Algonquin Wolves.
Algonquin took 25-20, 25-18 wins before winning the third and final set 25-20 to knock the Lords off in three sets.
Tyler Jegen (Calgary, AB) accounted for nine of his sides 22 kills in the match, also adding four blocked shots, three digs, an assist and a service ace. William Egan (Cobden, ON) recorded six kills on 16 attempts.
Kyle Travis (Courtice, ON) registered 17 assists, with Jegen and Kristian Don Ruiz (Scarborough, ON) each adding a single.
Michael Penney (Whitby, ON) was tied for the team lead in blocked shots with four.
The Lords will finish their trip to Ottawa on Saturday against the La Cité Coyotes at 3:00 PM.
