OSHAWA, ON - The Durham Lords men's volleyball team added another in the win column on Sunday afternoon with a 3-0 win over the La Cité Coyotes.
The closest set was the first one, as the Lords battled to a 25-22 win. They had a little more breathing room in the second set, taking it 25-16. The Lords would send their fans home happy following the third set with a 25-10 victory to sweep the Coyotes for the second time this season.

Nandor Gallo (Oshawa, ON) recorded a season-high 10 kills in the match on 17 total attempts, beating his previous high, seven. Gallo also added an assist and a dig, finishing the afternoon with 10.0 points. William Egan (Cobden, ON) was not far behind with nine kills, but his team-leading six service aces helped him tally 16.0 points on the afternoon.

From a playmaking side of things, Kristian Don Ruiz (Scarborough, ON) had 20 of his sides 33 assists, with Kyle Travis (Courtice, ON) adding another 10.

Durham benefited from 17 service aces against the Coyotes. After Egan's six, Tyler Jegen (Calgary, AB) had three, Jacques Tournadre (Milton, ON) had two, and six other players served one each.

At the net, Egan, Josh Clarke (Oshawa, ON), Josh Padmore (Hamilton, ON) and Michael Penney (Whitby, ON) each registered blocked shots.

Durham is back in action this Tuesday at 8:00 PM against the Georgian Grizzlies on home court.
