OSHAWA, ON – The Durham College women's basketball team battle their way to a fifth consecutive win on Tuesday night after defeating the Georgian Grizzlies 75-53.
In their first home game since November, the Lords came out of the gates flying with an 18-7 lead after the first quarter and a 36-15 lead heading into halftime.
Georgian more than doubled their first half total in the third quarter with 17 points, but an upswing in offence at one end of the court also saw an upswing at the other, with 24 points from the Lords. Brianna Morrison (Oshawa, ON) had a breakout quarter with 12 points, shooting 4-for-7 from beyond the three-point arc.

Morrison led the team in points with 23, adding four assists, two rebounds and a steal.
Shay Littmann (Ajax, ON) had her most impressive outing of the season with 12 points, six assists, three rebounds, two steals and a blocked shot. Emily Glendinning (Plattsville, ON) was all over the court with 11 points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal.

As a team, the Lords took advantage of 28 turnovers from the Grizzlies, scoring 33 points off of turnovers. The Lords also proved to be a force in the paint, doubling Georgian's point total in the area of the floor.
