OSHAWA, ON - In a meeting with the 2022 OCAA silver medalist Seneca Sting, the Durham College women's soccer team suffered their first loss of the season.
Seneca were first on the board 27 minutes in to take the lead. Sage Thomas-Roberts (Toronto, ON) scored the equalizer seven minutes later to send the match into halftime tied up at one.
Less than five minutes into the second half, the Sting grabbed their second lead of the game before Erika Bjorgum (Kingman, AB) scored her seventh goal of the season to create a level playing field once again.
Down the stretch, Seneca scored two goals in as many minutes to take the lead and add an insurance marker to put the game away.
Durham will look to rebound next Friday as they host the Algonquin Wolves at 6:00 PM back at Vaso's Field.
