OSHAWA, Ont. - Durham College women's soccer is welcoming a dynamic new addition to its lineup with the signing of Cyerra Andreae.
The Courtice, Ontario native will join the Lords as a winger, bringing her energy, pace and attacking mindset to the program.
Andreae's arrival adds another promising piece to the roster as the team gears up for its next OCAA campaign. With her experience on the flanks and a passion for contributing in the final third, she is eager to make an impact on both sides of the pitch.
Andreae developed her game close to home, playing her youth soccer with the Oshawa Kicks. The Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School graduate found early success with the club and credits those years with shaping her competitive edge.
"My favourite moments from my playing career have been participating in the Ontario Cup with my team," she said. "It is something that meant a lot to my coach and, as a result, meant a lot to my teammates and me. Being able to contribute to the team's success and at times score goals meant a lot to me."
Her time in the Ontario Cup taught her the value of teamwork and resilience, qualities she plans to carry into her collegiate career.
At 5-foot-5, Andreae relies on quickness and intelligent movement to create opportunities, whether she's driving down the wing or cutting inside to join the attack.
When it came time to choose where to continue her academic and athletic journey, Andreae said the decision felt natural. "I have heard nothing but good things about the team and its environment," she explained. The reputation of Durham's women's soccer program for fostering a supportive and competitive culture resonated with her goals on and off the pitch.
Andreae will enter the General Arts and Science program, balancing her studies with her commitment to the team. The Lords' staff believe her work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn will make her a strong fit in the locker room and a valuable option on the pitch.
"Cyerra is someone we're really excited to welcome to Durham," said Head Coach Bruce Cullen. "She's the kind of person we think will fit in really well with our culture. We're looking forward to getting her on campus and seeing what she can bring to the group both on and off the field."
The 2026 OCAA women's soccer schedule is set to drop in June.
