OSHAWA, Ont. – The Durham Lords faced a tough test in their third game of the season, taking on the Georgian Grizzlies at the Campus Recreation & Wellness Centre and ultimately falling 74-41.
Emily Balkissoon led Durham's offense, scoring a team-high 16 points, including three three-pointers. Balkissoon was active on both ends, adding four defensive rebounds and three steals to her stat line, showcasing her ability to contribute defensively while leading the team in scoring.
Onika Leveridge scored nine points on the night and added five rebounds, as well as four assists. Leveridge also had two blocks, providing a strong presence in the paint.
Letyjah Wilson recorded six points, five rebounds, a steal and a block in 20 minutes of play.
The Lords return to the court on Tuesday, November 5 as they take on the Seneca Sting for a 4:00 PM afternoon game in North York.
