OSHAWA, Ont. - The Durham Lords extended their winning record to 4-0 with a commanding 3-0 sweep over the George Brown Huskies at the CRWC in their home opener on Wednesday night.
The Lords set the tone early in the first set, claiming a decisive 25-10 win. While George Brown put up more resistance in the second set, Durham maintained composure to edge out a 25-23 victory. In the third and final set, the Lords regained their early dominance, closing out the match with a 25-15 scoreline.
Aislinn Pedersen led the attack, recording eight kills with a .316 hitting percentage and adding seven digs.Â
Tia Chang was incredibly efficient, contributing six kills with a stunning .857 hitting rate. Chelsea Oke was another standout, adding eight kills to keep the Lords' momentum strong across all three sets.
Brooke Young directed Durham's offense with precision, tallying a team-high 17 assists and delivering consistent service to keep the Huskies off balance.Â
Defensively, the Lords recorded 46 digs, led by Elizabeth McFarland's 10 and Oke's nine.
The Lords are back on the road on Saturday, heading to Scarborough where they will play the Centennial Colts at 1:00 PM.
