KING CITY, Ont. - The Durham Lords continued their winning ways with a straight-set victory over the Seneca Sting, winning 3-0 on Wednesday night.
Durham made it a quick evening, taking the sets 25-19, 25-15, and a thrilling 31-29 finish in the third.
Tyler Jegen led Durham's attack with 10 kills and a .421 hitting percentage, while William Egan contributed eight kills, hitting at .438. Will Doucet was also a standout, with eight kills on a .400 hitting rate and a team-high four service aces.
Kyle Travis orchestrated the offence with precision, tallying 29 assists.
The Lords were solid defensively, recording 38 digs and eight solo blocks. Cory Pharand was instrumental with six digs, while Jacob Simpson and Jonas Felix added valuable defensive support, combining for 10. At the net, Travis led the blocking efforts with four solo blocks.
The Lords look ahead to a match at home next Tuesday on November 19 against the Centennial Colts for Country Night, featuring Harvey's giveaways at 8:00 PM.
