OSHAWA, Ont. - The men's volleyball team put up a determined effort but fell to the Centennial Colts in a tightly contested four-set match on Tuesday night.
Durham took one set, but Centennial's efficiency proved the difference as they claimed the match 3-1, with set scores of 25-23, 23-25, 25-15, and 25-22.
Trent Engel led the charge for Durham with an impressive .667 hitting percentage, notching eight kills on 12 attempts and contributing three solo blocks. Tyler Jegen added seven kills, three solo blocks, and a pair of aces, while Cory Pharand chipped in with five kills and nine digs.
Kyle Travis directed the offence with 19 assists, while Jonas Felix anchored the back row with a team-high 13 digs.
The Lords are back at it on Saturday night in the Campus Recreation & Wellness Centre against the Canadore Panthers at 8:00 PM.
