OSHAWA, Ont. – The Durham Lords delivered a dominant performance against the Seneca Sting in men's volleyball on Saturday afternoon, securing a straight-set victory at home. 

The Lords established control early, taking the first set with an impressive .562 hitting percentage. 

Tyler Jegen led the way with a flawless offensive display, recording eight kills on 16 attempts without an error. The team's confidence carried into the second set, where William Egan added eight kills of his own the rest of the way, hitting .333 to keep the pressure on Seneca.

Durham's setter Kyle Travis was the engine behind the team's efficient attack, dishing out 30 assists while spreading the ball across multiple hitters. Travis also contributed defensively, recording three digs and two solo blocks in a well-rounded performance. 

Piet Kuypers was another key contributor, tallying nine kills on 17 attempts for a .294 hitting percentage while adding three digs and a service ace to his stat line.

The Lords notched 11 aces, with four coming from Will Doucet, whose strong serving added crucial momentum throughout the match.

Defensively, Durham controlled the tempo, limiting Seneca to a .123 hitting percentage across the match. Jonas Felix anchored the back row with four digs, ensuring the Sting could not build offensive rhythm. At the net, the Lords recorded three total blocks, with contributions from both Travis and Doucet.

Improving to 8-4 on the season, the Lords will hit the road next weekend with a Saturday match against the Georgian Grizzlies and a Sunday match at Canadore to face the Panthers.
