Box Score BARRIE, Ont. - Durham battled hard in men's volleyball on Saturday, with three incredibly close sets that saw them fall just short in all three against the Georgian Grizzlies.
After a 25-19 win for the hosts in the opening set, the Lords earned 23 points in each of the next two sets but could not hold off the sweep from the first place team in the OCAA's east division.
Petrus Kuypers has been making a significant impact since his return to the court, this time leading the team in kills with eight. He also contributed three digs, a service ace and a solo block across three sets played.
Tyler Jegen finished the day with six kills on 15 total attempts, adding six digs and two blocks of his own.
The offence flowed through Kyle Travis once again, who recorded all 26 assists on the day. He also joined Jegen and Will Doucet with multi-block contributions.
Durham now head to North Bay where they will meet the Canadore Panthers at 3:00 PM on Sunday.
