TORONTO, Ont. - The Durham Lords battled through a tough afternoon at George Browns' St. James Campus, but showed resilience from start to finish in a 54–28 road loss to the Huskies.
Despite the scoring struggles, the Lords continued to compete defensively, forcing 12 steals and generating 22 turnovers that kept momentum within reach throughout stretches of the game.
Aiesha Lewis set the tone inside, finishing with 10 rebounds to provide a physical presence that helped the Lords limit second-chance opportunities.
Sarah-Jane Laplante added seven points and eight rebounds, staying active on the perimeter and attacking the boards to keep possessions alive.
In the backcourt, Telia Campbell and Kathy Orellana combined for eight rebounds and seven steals, giving the Lords defensive stops that allowed them to push back against Husky runs.
Beatrice Johnson contributed four points and a pair of rebounds, including a strong first quarter at the free-throw line, while Taniya Hutchinson sparked the offence late with a team-high seven points and a three-pointer in the fourth.
Although shots were hard to come by, Durham continued to work for clean looks and stayed committed to their defensive structure.
Durham will be back at home on Friday, November 21 against the St. Lawrence Surge at 6:00 PM.
