OSHAWA, Ont. - Emma Bergen of the women's basketball team and Miles Hall of the men's basketball team have been named the Durham College student-athletes of the week for the period ending February 16, 2025.
Bergen, a Dental Hygiene student, had a standout performance in Durham's OCAA championship qualifier against the Lambton Lions in Sarnia on Saturday, finishing the game with 10 points, eight rebounds, an assist and a steal.
Hall, a General Arts & Science student, led the Lords to a 92-70 win against the Fanshawe Falcons in the OCAA championship qualifiers this weekend, recording 19 points, six rebounds, six assists and four steals in 23 minutes of play.
The women's basketball loss to Lambton signalled the end of the 2024-25 season for the Lords.
The men's basketball team will host the Mohawk Mountaineers on Saturday, February 22 at 5:00 PM in the Campus Recreation & Wellness Centre for the OCAA championship quarter-finals.
The Durham College athletes of the week is presented by Subway, located at 2069 Simcoe Street North in Oshawa.
