OSHAWA, Ont. - The Durham College women's volleyball team put in a hard-fought performance against the Lakeland Rustlers in their quarter-final matchup at the 2025 CCAA Women's Volleyball National Championship, ultimately losing in three sets.
The undefeated Rustlers made it clear why they are coming off of back-to-back national gold medal results, defeating the hosts 25-13, 25-11 and 25-14.
Elizabeth McFarland led the team in kills with six, on 16 total attempts, along with two digs.
Chelsea Oke, Veronika Cavojska and Jessie Buck each registered three kills. Oke added a team-leading eight digs, along with two assists, while Buck had the lone solo block in the match.
Brooke Young and Erin Black split playmaking duties, with Young recording nine assists and Black posting seven.
Black was named the player of the match for the Lords.
Durham will move to the bronze medal side of the bracket, playing in the bronze medal quarter-final against the Mount Allison Mounties at 2:00 PM in the Campus Recreation & Wellness Centre.
